Carrie Charles is the CEO of Broadstaff, the industry leader in providing direct and contract-to-hire placement services nationwide within technology and telecommunications headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Under Carrie’s leadership, Broadstaff consistently ranks on Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies and the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50. In addition to her role as CEO, Carrie is a thought leader on workforce development, diversity, women in tech and a frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences, the host of the 5G Talent Talk podcast on RCR Wireless News, and sits on the board of directors of Cable Runner International, NEDAS Technology Association, and for Women’s Wireless Leadership Forum. As the mother of a childhood cancer survivor, Carrie aligned her personal mission with her role on the board of directors of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

What do you think the future holds in this space?

What are your passions outside of work?

My passions outside of work are faith, family, fitness and philanthropy. My passion and priority is my faith, which is intrinsically tied to all areas of my life. I have an immeasurable love for my amazing family — my 3 kids and my fiancé. I am committed to fitness, exercising daily, eating healthy, meditating and focusing on a life of vitality, energy and positivity. My passion of giving back can be tied to the obstacles I have faced in my personal life that drive me to help others. I know the value of people, as I have experienced the tragic loss of loved ones — my mother, father, both sisters, stepfather, all grandparents, uncles, cousins…four to suicide. As a result, I am committed to helping people grow and thrive in all areas of life. I once again came face-to-face with the value of life and people when my son was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 11 — a battle he won. From that experience, I now sit on the board of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Each day, 43 children in the U.S. are expected to be diagnosed with cancer, and I believe that that is 43 too many.
