How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?
After working in the world of telecommunications starting around 1985, I started to write occasional articles then columns over time. This raised my profile and after being regularly quoted in the media my name recognition grew over time.
Today, after 35 years I have one of the strongest brand names in the business and I take my role in the industry very seriously. I enjoy talking with all the competitors and sharing my thoughts on what they are doing and how the industry will unfold over the next several years.
What topic areas are you most passionate about?
In business, I am most passionate about the world of communications. That means wireless, wire line, telephone, pay TV, Internet, IoT, AI and so much more.
How would you describe your offline influence?
I have been writing columns, sharing my thoughts with the media, speaking at meetings, active on Twitter and LinkedIn and more for quite a long time. I am doing the same things today I was doing twenty years ago. So, I guess I was one of the first industry analysts, experts and influencers before we gave it a name.
