How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

I worked for the Department of Defense Cybercrime Center as a digital forensic analyst where I conducted Major Crimes and intrusion cases. I also worked for NASA under the Inspector General as a digital forensic examiner. I moved to the Defense Intelligence Agency as a Senior Intelligence Officer and Deputy Division Chief where I developed many outside-the-box Cyber and other capabilities. I hold multiple US provisional patents for cyber capabilities.

What sub-topics are you most passionate about?

I am most passionate about cybersecurity as it relates to digital health. I became passionate about digital health when I got sick in 2018. My life was disrupted over the past several years looking for answers to save myself, shuffling from doctor to doctor, specialist to specialist, trapped in an endless loop of siloed care that did not gives answers to unexplained conditions. Eventually, by applying my cybersecurity background to my medical case, I saved my own life. What I discovered on this tumultuous medical journey would change the course of my life, and in turn, give me the opportunity to bring my cybersecurity knowledge and my patient experience together to better cyber-secure the healthcare ecosystem along with making a real, needed transformation in healthcare.

Who influences you within these topics?

Shortlist is Diana Kelly, Jo Peterson, Tina Gravel, Avrohom Gottheil, Tamara McCleary, Evan Kirstel, Irma Rastegayeva, Mirko Ross, Chuck Brooks, Bob Carver, Mark Lynd, Sheri Hinish, Sally Eaves, Scott Schober, Rob May, Dr. ir Johannes Drooghaag.

What brands are leading the way in this space?

The cybersecurity digital health space has exploded in the past few years. There are too many brands that I feel are leading in this space to mention.

If a brand wanted to work with you, which activities would you be most interested in collaborating on?

Podcasts, webinars, speaking opportunities, product innovation, and video interviews.

What are your passions outside of work?

Training our dog Axel to be a visiting dog for hospitals and nursing homes, horses, spending time with family, doing astrology readings for family and friends for fun.

What would be the best way for a brand to contact you?

Email.
