Brice Groche
Sales Partnership Director at Skaleet
I'm a Banking and Fintech seasoned professional with 17 years of experience. Currently working as partnership director in a software-as-a-service Fintech: Skaleet, a Core Banking Platform next-gen for Banks, neobanks & Embedded finance.
Ex KPMG Ex Boursorama Bank.
Interested in: Fintech, Bank industry, Digital Transformation, Neobank, payments, Financial institution softwares, IT.
How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?
I started my professional career at the ancestor of neobanks: Boursorama. There I worked in various departments, which allowed me to understand the functioning of a banking institution as a whole. After specialising in the stock market, I continued my career in international consulting firms, where I worked on innovation and digitalisation projects.
What sub-topics are you most passionate about?
It was by putting my experience in a purely digital bank and the big banking groups into perspective that I was able to measure the very important impact of Fintech. It is in this way, and following many fascinating meetings with many Fintech actors and founders, that I was led to go deeper into this subject.
Who influences you on these topics?
It is mainly on Linkedin and Twitter that I follow the main market trends. I also meet a lot of Fintech players through trade shows and professional associations as part of my current job.
What challenges are brands facing in this space?
Depending on the positioning of a Fintech (BtoC, BtoB, BtoBtoC), the major challenges will be different. However, there remains a common thread that runs through every business in the world: getting the word out about your brand. I think that social networks are an essential part of a company’s brand awareness, and it will become increasingly difficult to stand out from the crowd.
What do you think the future holds in this space?
The future of Fintech will depend on the ability of the players to become a force to be reckoned with and ultimately to become large international companies in their turn.
What brands are leading the way in this space?
The leading brands are those that have built a brand image that correlates with the bread points they have addressed with their product. Personally, I think that word of mouth is a key element, at least at the beginning of an adventure.
If a brand wanted to work with you, which activities would you be most interested in collaborating on?
I am available to help brands grow through social media posts, which will reach a community of multi-cultural fintech professionals from around the world. I am also willing to collaborate in the writing of articles, white papers as well as for consulting missions (organisation, partnership, business dev, etc).
What are your passions outside of work?
I like to travel, especially in urban areas, and discover different ways of living, eating, etc.
