Bio:
Anna has 20+ years experience from process development, management and project management. For the last few years, RPA and Intelligent Automation have been her main areas. She now leads the Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence at SSAB, a global steel company with ambitious sustainability targets.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

I have a long experience from different management & project management positions. I have been leading RPA (and now IA) implementations in two different companies in the last four years. During that time, I have done plenty of research and been fortunate to learn from the talented people in my network.

What sub-topics are you most passionate about?

Leadership, change management, project management, people.

Who influences you within these topics?

Former co-workers and managers, my current manager and colleagues as well as my network.

What challenges are brands facing in this space?

There are countless players in this market. Seeing through the different offerings is very tricky – as soon as you have found a favourite, 10 more will appear. It can also be hard to showcase the non-monetary benefits to decision makers.

What do you think the future holds in this space?

I think the vendor market will keep being scattered with swift M&A’s. I think we will see more niched vendors, trying to find offerings that cover a gap in the market.  I think that customers soon will go straight for Intelligent Automation (and not start the journey with RPA).

What brands are leading the way in this space?

We have the top three RPA vendors, UiPath, BluePrism and Automation Anywhere. For IDP, I think Antworks stands out. EvoluteIQ is also an interesting player with a complete offering, as well as start-ups Turbotic and Workwell. But again – there are countless good service providers out there.

What are your passions outside of work?

My family, nature, heavy-metal music and food.
