How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

Began as a CRM software consultant with Andersen (today Accenture) in 1988. Have since been providing CRM implementation and advisory services for 30+ years. Currently lead a CRM strategy and services business unit at IBM.

CRM strategy, CRM software, sales strategies and technologies, marketing strategies and technologies, innovation, disruption, business growth strategies, business transformation.

Who influences you within these topics?

My customers influence me just about every day. I also follow CRM thought leaders such as Paul Greenberg.

What challenges are brands facing in this space?

The effective integration of business strategy with business technologies are a perennial challenge. The two are powerful together but largely ineffective apart. Implementing strategy without enabling technology delays progress and limits scale. Implementing technology without strategy is aimless, never efficient and generally delivers disappointing results.

What do you think the future holds in this space?

Consultancies and integrators that can aid a balanced combination of strategy and technology are in high demand.
