Bio:

Daniel Oh is a Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager at Red Hat and works CNCF/DOIS ambassador as well. He's well recognized in cloud-native app dev, senior DevOps practices in many open source projects and international conferences. Recently, he continues to evangelize enterprise developers on how to write event-driven microservices with hybrid serverless runtimes for the advanced DevOps platform.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

With my 20+ years developer experiences, I’ve been helping enterprise Java developers build microservices, cloud native applications, and serverless functions from on-premise Kubernetes to public managed services. In the meantime, I’ve luckily learned, shared, asked about developers’ concerns, suggestions, feedback, and thoughts when they modernized existing monolithic applications in production environments. With that, I have more chances to evangelize them with shared experiences and knowledge so far.

What topic areas are you most passionate about?

Cloud native application development and serverless function with hybrid cloud.

Which influencers influence you within those key topics?

All people like developers, DevOps engineers, SREs, Sysadmin around me keep influencing me in terms of what the real concerns they need to solve when they adopt new cloud native softwares and platforms which make me revise my advocate stuff in more practical way.

Outside of key topics, who else influences you?

Leaders and experts in Edge technologies like Electric cars, AI/ML, IoT.

How would you describe your offline influence?

I try to speak at developer meet-ups and international conferences in the virtual space since COVID. Also, I keep writing books & blogs across multiple online sites to share thoughts and practices I’ve learnt.

What’s your best source of information for getting ahead of a story? What resource do you use to stay ahead of the trend?

Keeping my eyes on new open source projects and tools along with cloud native, serverless, and hybrid cloud.

If a brand wanted to work with you, which activities would you be most interested in collaborating on?

I can do podcasts, webinars, whitepapers, speaking opportunities, product innovation, video interviews.

What brands have you worked with?

Red Hat, Accenture, Valtech, Samsung.

Which non-paid activities would you be keen to take part in if the opportunity raised your profile or delivered value to your audience?

I would be happy to provide a quote for content or news article, share or create a social post, speak at an event, podcast or a webinar. I am also interested in co-creating a long form or video content as well as doing a product review.

What are your passions outside of work?

Playing with kids, running, home training, traveling.

What would be the best way for a brand to contact you?
