Location:Italy
Bio:

A successful Business Operations Manager with a strong background in fast-paced, technology driven industries, and with an effective combination of leadership, innovation and long-term vision. Working both at multinational groups and startups level, provides the latest insights on the cutting-edge emerging technologies.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

I had the opportunity to be part of an innovative MedTech startup in Italy, in early 2015 and since then I never stopped to learn, to get involved and to integrate as many information and updates about the emerging technologies.

What sub-topics are you most passionate about?

I like to understand and have a clear picture, for what we can at the time being, about the impact of the actual emerging technologies on our real life: future of work, digital transformation, education, entertainment, tackle to the climate change.

Who influences you within these topics?

I like sourcing information from a lot of relevant websites/social media channels and other digital innovation influencers I’m linked to, above all in Twitter, that I consider the main source of updates about digital innovation.

What challenges are brands facing in this space?

Things are changing very quickly, exponentially, and this is the main challenge we all have to face in the coming years, not only brands: how to be able to stay on track in terms of vision and long-term strategy. Secondly, brands have to face a strongest-as-never-before competition, where also very small details make the difference and social media represent the “place” where all of this becomes public.

What do you think the future holds in this space?

I think social media influencing can be the key for brands to make that difference: to be recognised among a lot of competitors thanks to apparently “normal social media users”.

What brands are leading the way in this space?

The ones much more able to take advantage by these opportunities. For my understanding: Ericsson, Siemens, Intel, Salesforce and others. We should involve also non-technology brands and public institutions, as they need even more support to emerge among the “competition” in this new scenarios.

If a brand wanted to work with you, which activities would you be most interested in collaborating on?

I’m fully open to different forms of collaborations, even if would be extremely glad to have the closed cooperation as possible: whitepapers, products innovation processes, and so on.

What are your passions outside of work?

I like sports, basketball above all, I like reading, cinema and the time spent with my family. I have a 19 years old son, starting to attend the university since next September: he seems really “technology-addicted” and ready to the new challenges he will face in the coming years. And a 15 years old daughter, still attending the high school: she seems even better than her brother, but I cannot say it ;-).
