Gerald is leading the AI, Automation & Analytics practice within Atos and has more than 20 years of experience in IT in multinational industries and companies. He has proven leadership experience in different consulting and management roles and leading multi-country and cross-functional practices. He’s advisor of startup’s in the Blockchain space and helping to create data-driven business models and go-to-market strategies. Also part of ISO standardization organization and contributor to different R&D projects within AI domain. Gerald is helping and enabling companies to create value out of data, getting data-driven organizations and develop strategies to stay competitive.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

Working over decades within different companies, projects and clients enriched by education from university (PhD in AI). But as always, the most I’ve learned by delivering projects. Only by using and implementing technologies you understand in detail what’s possible and where are the borders of certain solutions. Very important point right now in the context of AI. Exchange within and outside organization with leading experts and influencers.

What topic areas are you most passionate about?

Using technology to make life better for everyone. Fast pace of technology revolution will help to solve current and future issues of mankind like climate change.

Which influencers influence you within those key topics?

I guess too many to list them all here. But most certainly all experts/influencers I’m close to or work with in certain areas.

Outside of key topics, who else influences you?

Friends, family and kex-experts.

How would you describe your offline influence?

Invited to local events and global virtual events. Writing for blogs and being advisor to R&D activities.

What’s your best source of information for getting ahead of a story? What resource do you use to stay ahead of the trend?

Mainly taking to friends, family and experts. Also being part of events and virtual occasions.
