João Bocas is an expert in wearable technology and is a globally recognized business thought leader, mentor, advisor, and entrepreneur. How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?
I started in Tech as a Junior Salesman over 25 years ago. I always had an interest for sport, health and fitness. Therefore Healthcare come natural to me, I worked in healthcare and wellness for over 15 years now. But in the last 5 years, i become heavily involved with digital health and wearables. I am an Entrepreneur always interested in learning and bringing value to other people too.
What topic areas are you most passionate about?
I am extremely passionate about collaborating with people. I see digital as the future and technology as a link to connect people and solve problems, however underneath all I do prefer human interaction. I am passionate about people and health.
Which influencers influence you within those key topics?
I like to follow people that are different than me, so I follow Eric Topol for his medical expertise for example.
Outside of your key topics who else influences you?
Professional sport, I can mentioned Ronaldo for his talent but dedication and humbleness to good causes. I am attracted to people that do go for the world…. As an human being I’d like to think of myself as an humanitarian. If I can I will always help people.
What are your passions outside of work?
Sport, Fitness, Holidays and of course Family life.
How would you describe your offline influence?
I talk to clients and business people every day, that my job. I also write and collaborate a lot….helping others at any opportunity.

I do prefer Video Interviews and Keynote speaking, but I am able to collaborate in any given format.

I love twitter. As a source of news and content in my industry. Although I must admit that I really like LinkedIn too.
