Bio:

Linda is Chief Operating Officer at Digital Business Innovation Srl, an Italian Innovative Startup active in the world of R&D Consulting. She’s an Industrial Engineer passionate in Digital Transformation and her mission is managing Business Projects in Tech & Innovation fields through the use of both Operational and Strategic Planning Approach. Linda strongly believes in empowering Women in Tech and their Leadership Skills for a Better Sustainable Future.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

I’ve always been keen on these topics, not by chance I studied engineering. After getting master’s degree with honors, I started pursuing a business career where I could have combined technology and ingenuity. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” is a very inspiring quote by Confucius in which I strongly believe. Thanks to my job, I keep learning something new everyday – indeed, adopting an open mind strategy is crucial to survive in a digitally transforming world. Rather than an expert, I prefer to consider myself as someone who loves deepening and spreading knowledge about these topics.

What topic areas are you most passionate about?

Everything that deals with innovation fascinates me. The paradigm shift of digital transformation we are living is a ever evolving topic and I enjoy finding out how emerging technologies can have new applications in different fields of life and business. Furthermore, I really care about empowering women in tech. In fact, despite the great progress made, women are still under-represented in the workplace, especially when it comes to STEM fields where gender equality is far away. That’s why, in my small way, I do my best to encourage women to be ambitious and never stop in front of bias. Together, we can bring great benefits to a thriving future.

Which influencers influence you within those key topics?

There are many inspiring influencers in such key topics. The ones who influence me more are certainly Antonio Grasso, Mike Quindazzi and Antonio Santos. About women leadership, I’m really inspired by Tamara McCleary, Meghan Biro and Sheridan Ash – they are amazing examples of #pinkpower

Outside of your key topics who else influences you?

Well, I’m very interested in sustainability and social inclusion, since I think global development cannot ignore them but should put them as priority goals. So, I admire Greta Thunberg and Nelson Mandela for their courage and determination – no matter time, fighting for rights is the focus.

How would you describe your offline influence?

The main goal of an influencer’s activities is reaching the interest of people who follow you by conveying useful notions and giving a unique value. In order to do this, I like to carry out both speaking and writing activities, since they are great ways to raise awareness. Nevertheless, networking is also a good idea.

If a brand wanted to work with you, what offline/online activities would you be most interested in?

I’m available to collaborate with brands through video interviews, speeches, blog posts, twitter chats, podcasts, content shares and so on. I believe defining an influencer marketing strategy together before starting could also improve KPIs.

What’s your best source of information for getting ahead of a story?

Good question. I always refer to information from reliable online sources, i.e. reports, researches and other articles containing updates on latest trends. It’s fundamental if you want to keep your audience confident in your content.

What brands have you worked with?

Working in my company, together with Antonio Grasso, I had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing brands such as Siemens, Huawei, Automation Anywhere, Ricoh and others.

Which non-paid activities would you be keen to take part in if the opportunity raised your profile or delivered value to your audience?

  • Provide a quote for content or news article
  • Share / create a social post
  • Participate in a podcast or webinar
  • Participate in online chat (e.g. Twitter chat, Crowdchat, Google Hangout)

What are your passions outside of work?

I love traveling around the world and discover different cultures – Enjoying the journey, you can surprisingly open yourself to new horizons. There’s only a cons: when I’m abroad, I miss Italian food 🙂

What businesses / organisations are you affiliated to?

Digital Business Innovation srl

What would be the best way for a brand to contact you?

Feel free to write me via email at lgrasso@dbi.srl – alternatively, a DM on my social channels Twitter and Linkedin is perfect anyway.
