How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

I am fascinated by creating a digital future that works for us, not against us. With a background in digital transformation whilst working for Oracle Corporation, I studied how Artificial Intelligence and other powerful technologies can improve equality, human decision making and solve big problems. This led to the formation of the Boundless Podcast where I explore in conversation with Thought Leaders how digital technologies can address our challenges when they are carefully aligned with the positive actions of digital ethicists, compassionate CEOs and storytellers/influencers.

What topic areas are you most passionate about?

I am passionate about exploring AI, Digital Ethics, Distributed platforms of connected knowledge workers, Decentralised Data, Human-Machine Augmentation, Spatial Computing and the Future of Work. I seek to understand how we use can technologies and ideas to create a digital future that works for every individual to experience; to create a fully circular economy that recognises the intrinsic value of nature, respects personal data and enables access to digital platforms of creative contribution.

Which influencers influence you within those key topics?

There are many brilliant people pushing the boundaries of digital technologies whose work I follow and admire. Stand out leaders for me include Fei Fei Li, Co-Director at Stanford Human-Centered AI Institute, Kriti Sharma The Founder of AI For Good, Denis Rothman, an AI visionary, Andreas Antonopoulos, the Open Blockchain Evangelist, Lex Fridman,  AI researcher and Podcast Host.

Outside of your key topics who else influences you?

The work of the philosophers and scientists such as José Ortega y Gasset, Daniel Dennett, Freeman Dyson, Carl Sagen, Don Miguel Ruiz, Eckhart Tolle.

How would you describe your offline influence?

I am fortunate enough to be regularly asked to contribute articles and give talks at digital and thought leadership events. I consult with a number of clients on their digital transformation plans and this has led to advisory positions on some very exciting projects.

If a brand wanted to work with you, which activities would you be most interested in collaborating on?

I am a keynote speaker on AI Ethics, Accountability and Responsibility in business. I also host AI-related events and chair panels aimed at business audiences. My consulting work is helping enterprises to deliver more successful AI projects by addressing diversity, using open innovation and accessing distributed problem solvers.

What’s your best source of information for getting ahead of a story?

I interview brilliant digital thought leaders every week for my Boundless podcast and spend hours each week learning from these exceptional minds. I ignore any articles about technology with a ‘sensationalist’ headline and focus on the articles that show realistic, and important progress in the real world.

I have worked with major local authorities on inward investment advisory projects.
