Rimah Harb is the VP of Commercial at Teralight and an Advisor to Singularity Studio, Pure Technology, and BlockQuake. Rimah spent over 15 in the telecom and technology industry serving major carriers, mobile operators, and enterprises in the GCC, EMEA, and North America.

Rimah enjoys supporting companies with bright minds and promising projects mainly in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Blockchain.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

What got me started is my passion for AI and its transformational potential especially if channeled toward the good of society. My technology background and the team around me helped me better understand how to place each technology correctly with companies I am involved in.

Who influences you within these topics?

Dr. Ben Goertzel is one of the key figures who truly influence me and many others especially with his lead towards Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and AI for good.

Also, a number of experts and influencers with who I interact frequently include Dr. Marcell Volmer, Pascal Bornet, Ronald Van Loon, and many others.

What challenges are brands facing in this space?

The majority of brands are still facing challenges to put AI to its best use where it truly can transform the business. As good as some AI use cases demonstrate, AI still requires proper strategy, “clean and relevant” data, training, time, and patience to actually provide results.

What do you think the future holds in this space?

This space is just starting to shape out, we will witness major changes within the next few years. In my opinion, only the companies with bright minds, clear and unified mission across all divisions, and flexible decentralized core shall actually thrive. In fact the companies we refer to as the Big Tech now shall share the space with newcomers if not get replaced entirely.

Mainly podcasts, video interviews, and social campaigns.

What are your passions outside of work?

Other than Sci-Fi movies, I prefer to spend some time in nature walking or reading a book.
