Robin Farmanfarmaian is a professional speaker and entrepreneur working in tech poised to impact 100M people or more. Farmanfarmaian is the co-founder of Face Touch Aware, an Apple Watch App to help break the habit of touching your face (covid-related). She is also an advisor to the founder of MindMaze, VR for 9 neuro conditions, including stroke and brain injury. With over 160 speaking engagements in 15 countries, she educates audiences on technology, the future of healthcare & building thought leadership. She has 3 published books: “The Patient as CEO"; “The Thought Leader Formula”; and “Facilitating Virtual Events”.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

I spent years working in technology, science and healthcare conferences. In addition, I spend 1-2 hours a day reading technology and healthcare news.

What topic areas are you most passionate about?

Healthcare – the shift in healthcare delivery, Pharma Sensors, Artificial intelligence, VR, Longevity.

How would you describe your offline influence?

I am a professional speaker, and in non-pandemic years, typically speak at 20-40 conferences a year. I’ve written 3 books and over 50 articles. Currently I’m posting a long series in AI in healthcare. I also coach and consult with entrepreneurs and corporates

What’s your best source of information for getting ahead of a story? What resource do you use to stay ahead of the trend?

Social media – on Twitter I follow mostly healthcare people I research daily and get ~10 newsletters, including MIT, CB Insights, Stat, Frost and Sullivan.

Speaking, video interviews, coaching, webinars, articles.

What brands have you worked with?

Speaking at internal or external conferences: (not a full list) UnitedHealthcare, Boston Scientific, Abbott Vascular, Otsuka Pharma, Genentech, MGMA (medical group association), ANA – nurses, AAD – dermatologists.

Which non-paid activities would you be keen to take part in if the opportunity raised your profile or delivered value to your audience?

I would be keen to provide a quote for content or news article, create a social post, product review,  long-form or video content, speak at an event, podcast or a webinar.

What are your passions outside of work?

Health – exercise, eating, stress reduction. Cooking. Starting companies! Including non-profits.
