Content Editor and Writer: ERP & CRM at Solutions Review
William Jepma is an editor, writer, and analyst at Solutions Review who aims to keep readers across industries informed and excited about the newest developments in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Marketing Automation.
How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?
I started as a content writer for a marketing agency, where I spent a lot of time writing about and working with various CRM and marketing technologies. It was in that role that I first encountered ERP solutions, as I worked alongside a client who specialized in that field. My experiences there helped my interest in that field really take root and, eventually, led me to my current role as an editor and analyst for Solutions Review.
What sub-topics are you most passionate about?
Supply chain management and marketing automation are both topics I enjoy exploring. Ultimately, though, I want to learn about any new or evolving technologies that provide practical, accessible ways to improve the ways a workforce operates.
Who influences you within these topics?
What challenges are brands facing in this space?
ERP implementation is a common challenge I come across, as it’s a process that’s often far more complicated and time-consuming than it can seem when you’re on the outside looking in. Educating team members and setting up mid-process objectives will help companies begin to take advantage of their ERP systems during the implementation process.
CRM is a bit different and often runs into problems around scalability and strategy. This is especially prevalent for smaller, growing businesses who need a CRM solution to meet their needs at each stage of their growth.
What do you think the future holds in this space?
Companies are looking for solutions that can streamline their workflows and maximize convenience. This means more automation, more AI capabilities, and more options for user customizability. These trends have already gained traction, but I expect them to grow even further in the ERP and CRM markets.
