Avrohom Gottheil is the founder of #AskTheCEO Media, where he helps businesses get heard over the noise on social media, by translating their corporate messages into language people understand.
Avrohom comes from a 20+ year career in Telecom, where he helped businesses around the world install and maintain their communication systems and contact centers. He is a Top-ranked global expert in IoT, AI, and Cybersecurity, followed worldwide on Twitter, and a frequent speaker on leveraging technology to accelerate revenue growth.
How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?
I come from a 20-year background in Telecom, where I started my career as a software developer. I’m basically a real techie. I worked for Avaya for 9 years, where I had several jobs ranging from Software developer to Solutions Architect. After I left Avaya, I started a consulting practice supporting Avaya partners with the installation of small business phone systems and enterprise contact center applications. In 2015 disruption hit, and in 2017 I reinvented myself to leverage my 20+ year expertise in infrastructure technology, along with my passion for consulting, and started #AskTheCEO Media, where I help businesses share their message, on the latest high-tech trends, with the world.
What topic areas are you most passionate about?
I’m extremely passionate about understanding the drivers behind the latest trends in technology. I’m also passionate about promoting diversity, such as Women in Tech.

What are your passions outside of work?
I love outdoor activities, such as running, hiking, and enjoying nature. I also love the challenge of growing tropical trees in temperate climates.
How would you describe your offline influence?
I enjoy travelling to new and exciting places to speak about the latest trends in technology. In fact, as we speak, I’m preparing a presentation on the topic of Deep Tech, which I’ll be delivering in New Delhi, India next week. I always enjoy meeting new people, and get the biggest enjoyment out of meeting people, I’ve known for a long time online, in person for the first time!

What’s your best source of information for getting ahead of a story?
I get most of my information from my colleagues and Twitter. When I’m interested in researching a particular topic, I go much deeper and look at the various research firms’ websites: such as, Forbes, Gartner, Statista, and so on.
