Stephanie Atkinson is a leading executive, thought leader, influencer, marketer, speaker, strategist, analyst, and advisor. She owns and runs and, while also serving on multiple non-profits and advisory boards. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Management of Technology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

I have been working by guiding and advising businesses for more than 20 years, running CompassIntel for more than 15 years, and recently started vMarque in response to supporting and helping small businesses during the pandemic.

What challenges are brands facing in this space?

Businesses are now being faced with new priorities around workforce safety, remote workforce technology and security, employee retention and programs, technology for automating operations because of smaller workforce and need for safety, and small businesses are now being faced with the need to invest in virtual-digital-mobile in order to compete and stay in business.

What do you think the future holds in this space?

Businesses are extremely resilient and the stronger lead companies will survive and thrive post-pandemic. The future will be all about “as a Service,” automating practices and operations, workforce management, and digital tools to enable the customer experience.

What brands are leading the way in this space?

Fortune 500 are obvious, but it is the new startups and younger firms that are bouncing back or finding it easier to shift or pivot to new ways of doing business. Depending on the industry and market, I would be better equipped to share brands.

My two main brands (Compass Intelligence, and vMarque) can engage with me through a number of ways including whitepapers, content creation, market research, advisory and consulting, speaking opportunities, podcasts, panel discussions, executive presentations, survey research, web development, logo creation, and more.

What are your passions outside of work?

Outside of work, I like to travel with my family on RV trips to essentially the mountains or places where there is water. I volunteer at my children’s school, am involved in 2 non-profits, and serve on a few advisory boards. I focus on self-care, health and wellness, and helping others do the same.
